Three B Stew
Here's what you will need:
· 2 Cups dried beans, soaked overnight OR 1 large can (14 1/2 oz.) beans
· 1 lb. Celebrity Stew Beef Cubes
· 1 large (14 1/2 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
· 1 tbsp. basil
· 1 tbsp. oregano
· 2 bay leaves
· 1 large onion, diced into one-inch pieces
· 3 cloves garlic, minced
· 1/2 cup red wine
· 3 strips bacon, cut into one-inch slices
· 1 cup beef broth
· 1 tbsp. tomato paste
· Salt and pepper to taste
· Flour
Heat a large skillet to medium high. Dust frozen beef cubes with salt, pepper and flour. Fry diced bacon until done.
Pour off bacon fat. Add dredged beef cubes and continue to cook for a couple of minutes until beef is slightly browned.
Put beans, tomatoes, basil, oregano, bay leave, onion, garlic, red wine, beef broth and tomato paste in crockpot and
mix. Add beef and bacon mixture. Cook on low setting for 5-6 hours, or longer if necessary.
