Sweet and Sour Spareribs
Here's what you will need:
  · 2 pkgs. Celebrity Pork Spareribs (2, 1 lb. packages)
  · 2 large green bell peppers cut into large 2 inch chunks
  · 2 cups fresh pineapple or canned pineapple chunks in light syrup or water, drained
  · 2 carrots, sliced on diagonal
  · 1 large white onion, cut into large 2 inch chunks
  · 1/2 cup brown sugar
  · 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar or white vinegar
  · 1 tsp. salt
  · 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  · 1/4 cup sherry (optional)
  · 4 tbsp. ketchup
  · 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  · 2 tsp. cornstarch

Sweet and Sour Spareribs For meat searing:
Salt and Pepper
2 teaspoons sugar

Dust slightly defrosted spareribs with salt, pepper, and sugar. Sear ribs on high heat in skillet on both sides. (This step is optional-you can place seasoned ribs directly on top of vegetables and pineapple in the crock pot.) Place bell pepper, pineapple, carrots, and onion in crock pot. Place seared meat on top of vegetables and pineapple. Mix brown sugar, vinegar, salt, soy sauce, sherry, ketchup, pineapple juice and cornstarch to make sauce. Pour sauce over vegetables and spareribs in the crock pot. Cook 6-8 hours on low. Serve with rice or Chinese noodles.
