Green Beans with Toasted Almonds
Here's what you will need:
· 1 lb. Celebrity Green Beans, ends snapped
· 2 tbsp. butter
· 1/4 cup toasted almonds, chopped
· 1 cup water
· Salt to taste
· 1/2 of whole lemon, skin on
Place all ingredients, except for half of toasted almonds, in large covered skillet.
Squeeze lemon juice from cut lemon onto the green beans and leave lemon in pan. About ten minutes before
serving, heat skillet on high, bring to boil, cover and reduce heat and simmer for about five minutes until
green beans are bright in color and slightly tender. Remove green beans to serving platter. Reduce
remaining liquid in pan by to 1/4 cup and pour over the green beans. Top with remaining toasted almonds.
Carrots with Dill Butter Sauce
Here's what you will need:
· 1 lb. Celebrity Baby Carrots, sliced on diagonal
· 2 tbsp. butter
· 1/2 cup water
· 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped
· Salt to taste
· 1/2 of whole lemon, skin on
Place all ingredients in large covered skillet. Squeeze lemon juice from
cut lemon on vegetables and leave lemon in pan. About ten minutes before serving, heat skillet on
high, bring to boil, cover and reduce heat and simmer for about five minutes until carrots are
bright in color and slightly tender. Remove carrots to serving platter. Reduce remaining liquid
in pan by to 1/4 cup and pour over carrots.
