Tara's Spicy Crockpot Ragu with Fettuccine
Tara's Spicy Crockpot Ragu with Fettuccine Here's what you'll need:
  • 1 pound Celebrity Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Celebrity Hot Italian Sausage
  • 2 large white onions, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large (1 lb. 10 oz.) cans whole peeled
Italian tomatoes
  • 2 large (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 large cans black olives, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried red chile, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Tabasco sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup red wine (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 lb. bag Celebrity Fettuccine (also called Egg Noodles or Tagliatelle)

Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic for one minute in olive oil in large skillet. Add ground beef and sausage, and brown meat for about 4 minutes over medium high heat. Drain off excess fat. Place meat, onion and garlic mixture in crockpot. Add remaining ingredients except for basil and Parmesan. Cook on low setting for 6-8 hours. Add fresh basil at end of cooking time and serve the hot ragu over egg noodles, sprinkled with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
